Central Armed Police Force Recruitment 2012 For 401 Assistant Commandants: UPSC

Union Public service Commission ( UPSC ) was setup on 1st October 1926 by the Constitution of India.  Its main office is located at New Delhi. UPSC formed for the appointment of officers of Group C and group B.

Union Public Service Commission declares vacancies for the recruitment of  Central Armed Police Force. Interested candidates may apply before 28th August 2012, UPSC published advertisement no. 11/3/2011-E1(B )on official website.

401 vacancies are the total post for Central Armed Police Force(CAPF) in which 94 are for BSF (Border Security Force), 223 are for CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), 44 are for CISF (Central Industrial Security Force), 26 are for ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police) and 14 for SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal).

Age: candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2012, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1987 and not later than 1st August, 1992.

Qualification: Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or possess an equivalent qualification.

Selection Procedure: Written examination will held on 11th November 2012. There are 2 papers, paper-I and paper-II. Exam will be of objective type.

  • Paper-I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks from 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon
  • Paper-II:  General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – 200 Marks from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
